Strategic Action 4.3: Full-Day Kinder & Childcare
Implement universal full-day Kindergarten and enhance access to before-and-after school care.
A Strong Start for Every Student
Thanks to a local taxpayer investment, Full-Day, Every-Day Kindergarten has been expanded to all 30 91ºÚÁÏÍø schools that offer Kindergarten. This gives students a stronger foundation, extends learning time, and supports working families with nurturing, engaging, and full-day programming.
Partnering to Expand Care
We are collaborating with childcare partners and the provincial government to expand licensed before- and after-school spaces, open new centres, and discuss adding prefabricated facilities. This ensures we are creating more options for families and meeting community needs.
