Strategic Action 4.7: Teacher Development Program
Implement a program that supports students from historically oppressed, marginalized, and underrepresented groups to complete two post-secondary degrees and start their teaching career in 91ºÚÁÏÍø.
Securing Funding & Research
We have successfully applied for and received a federal grant from the French Second Language Revitalization Program. This funding allowed us to hire consultants to conduct a feasibility study on creating a pathway for French-speaking educational assistants to earn their teaching certification.
Forging Key Partnerships
The findings from our feasibility study have been shared with key partners, including the Division scolaire franco-manitobaine, Université de Saint-Boniface, and the Bureau de l'éducation française, to begin collaborating on program development and creating clear pathways for aspiring educators.
